इसी तथ्य के संदर्भ में ग़ालिब कहते हैं कि चूँकि अल्लाह की ज़ात प्राचीन है इसलिए जब इस ब्रह्मांड में कुछ भी नहीं था तो उसकी ज़ात मौजूद थी और जब कोई हस्ती मौजूद न रहेगी तब भी अल्लाह की ही ज़ात मौजूद रहेगी और चूँकि मैं अल्लाह सर्वशक्तिमान के नूर का एक हिस्सा हूँ और मुझे मेरे पैदा होने ने उस पूर्ण प्रकाश से जुदा कर दिया, इसलिए मेरा अस्तित्व मेरे लिए नुक़्सान की वजह है। यानी मेरे होने ने मुझे डुबोया कि मैं कुल से अंश बन गया। अगर मैं नहीं होता तो क्या होता यानी पूरा नूर होता।
